PLEASE NOTE: As of January 1, 2022, I am not accepting new clients at this time.
Who I am and what I can do for you
I’m a corporate lawyer who focuses on technology contracts, as well as software and internet law.
I support innovative companies and business people on matters such as:
- Drafting and negotiating technology contracts. These include software license agreements, complex strategic alliances, online marketing and advertising agreements, web and cloud services agreements, independent contractor agreements and more.
- Other “day to day” legal advice concerning technology products, services and operations.
Why work with me?
I focus on practical business outcomes. Even the best legal advice has little value if you can’t understand it or act on it.
I’m an experienced dealmaker. I have been negotiating technology deals for over 25 years in New York and California, representing a wide variety of clients, from individuals and high technology startup companies to large international corporations.
I have in-house counsel experience. I have held senior in-house legal positions at Amazon Lab126 (designers of Kindle e-readers, Kindle Fire tablets, Fire TV streaming media players, and Echo intelligent speakers) and Intuit Inc. (makers of QuickBooks and TurboTax financial software and web services).* Lawyers with in-house counsel experience must give practical, actionable advice and use legal resources and budget cost-effectively. That’s what I do. See About Us for more.
I’m passionate about innovation. I’ll work to understand your business, so that I can advise you better.
I’m a team player. Whether you need assistance for part of a large project, or a general legal advisor on an outsourced basis, I can participate effectively and efficiently with your team.
My law practice is small by choice. Small groups — whether startups or research groups or seed ventures in large companies — often are the most innovative. I offer flexibility, agility and customized solutions with personal service.
